Under the leadership of Prof. Maria Odete Perrone, Prof. Leonardo Lopes and psychologist Maria Cristina Haddad, with a team of 11 mothers, known at the J&F Institute as godmother mothers (mothers of Germinare students and alumni), the Escola da Família program was born to reverberate our culture and spread confidence in the education of our students. Inspired by the experience of family education received by Joesley and Wesley Batista, the program aims at valuing and strengthening the role of the family in regular education, recognizing the profile of students and faithfully investing in valuing our education.
Attentive to a globalized scenario that presents different demands to families, the initiative proposes more than periodic meetings: it is a training program, composed of reflective practices (such as debates, face-to-face activities and live transmissions) and an integrative platform fueled by vast content, specifically organized into thematic courses, provided in a curriculum in accordance with what we believe to be essential in the training of professionals and ethical and socially active citizens, in the exercise of their role.
In addition to the course, the program has personalized and continuous contact with the family, through scheduled and systemic consultations, through home visits and meetings scheduled in person at the J&F Institute or even online.
The role of godmother mothers is a faithful portrait of the institute’s commitment to an increasingly qualified integral education, since, throughout their entire journey in our training spaces, they assume the role of tutors both for families and for students.
The education that we all want and in which we believe is only possible if we pay due attention to what we call the tripod of protagonists in this education: the school, the students and the parents. Germinare Família provides subsidies for families to actively collaborate with education, strengthening them through direct training in the role of parents and guardians, reflecting on the success of children and adolescents, as students, citizens and professionals of the present.
